Protea Hotel Self Catering Resort Mphephu

The Protea Hotels Self Catering Resort Mphephu has natural healing hot waters in which to relax and is situated on the R523 from Makhado to Thohoyandou and the Kruger National Park, on the hillside of the Nzhelele River bank. Open parking is available next to the chalets. The resort also has a caravan park with 20 stands, all with electricity and water. The resort boasts two conference rooms, seating 40 and 70 delegates respectively. Themed evenings can also be organised, with the stoep area utilized for larger functions of up to 400 persons. Although there is no formal restaurant at the resort, smaller meals are served under a thatch-roofed stoep. Facilities at the resort include a large children`s playground, soccer field and a waterslide into the kiddies pool, with an additional two heated natural hot mineral springs for adults to soothe away aches and troubles. This is the ideal resort to which to escape to from the winter chill in the Southern Provinces.
